THE FISHING

Lochs Arkaig and Lochy are set amidst the stunning scenry of Lochaber in the cental Highlands of Scotland.

The trout fishing on offer in both these lochs is simply outstanding. Author and trout fishing maestro Stan Headley has been fishing both these lochs for many years and over that time has caught many throphy size trout. Join Stan and our team on this exciting adventure to catch that trophy fish.

This package is suited to all levels of fly angler as each pair of anglers will have one guide along with boat and motor and full instruction if needed. 

This trip is your ideal oportunity to join a highly experienced team of anglers and experience wild trout fishing at its best.

If you want a change from stocked crowded waters and sample fishing in a truly wild landscape without bursting the bank then this is the one for you. 

We will cover flies, tactics, watercraft and how catch these large fish using standard loch style techniques. 

Out with the fishing you will be located between both lochs at our fishing hotel "The Old Pines" near Spean Bridge. At the hotel you will have full board accomodation along with all your meals in a stunning location.

As always, there will be great 'craic' on offer with our 11 strong team and guides and needless to say, the evenings are never dull.

THE ACCOMODATION

The Old Pines is a very special place to stay. Experience the beauty of this picturesque location, the cosy yet luxurious rooms and the indulgence of organic, home-cooked food.

On arrival, you will be greeted by the Salmo Team prior to settling into your room to unwind prior to fishing.  You can also take a trip into Fort William in the evening to sample all that’s on offer, that is if you’re not still fishing!

The Old Pines has its own special ambience. The owners pride themselves on combining a warm and friendly welcome with a truly relaxing informal atmosphere – where only the food and your enjoyment are taken seriously. There are comfy sofas and cosy corners in the sitting rooms with ‘a library of books begging to be looked at’ and when the need arises, real wood-burning stove to warm your toes.

The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. King-size beds, crisp sheets, flat screen TVs, sparkling en-suites with powerful showers and deep soft towels.
